Does the offline mode increase potential mod capabilities?
I like mods, who doesn't. I also hear that "you can't mod an online game." Now, even though this is a falsehood, I still know that it's also partially true. So now the game has offline, are mods able to do more? Or are we waiting for some Overstrike-esque tool (Dark Souls unpacker probably better example here) to be made for the game that allows for more fun things to be done?

Can't wait for the story mission stuff. Definitely potential with costume mods too.

This game is dead and almost nobody plays it, there are chances mods will be available "soon", but I won't bet on it, since modders normally look for popular games to get something in return for their effort, even if we're only talking about likes.

Its like Avengers.
Because of how files are compiled its practically impossible to mod game.
Unless they release mod support we wont see any mods beside standard like Reshade, Intro skip or at best to remove HUD.

To tell you the truth i wanted to respond in negative way but i respect that you stick to what you said unless many that said they wont buy the game ever and the moment game went cheap they bought it instantly with same lame excuses like "curiosity" , "Cheaper then Sandwich" and similar lame excuses so i wont respond negatively to anything you say because when you dont support something you dont support it all the way not till something is good to pass.
People also make mods out of passion. Or spite.

That might be true, but building the tools etc. for a game that failed this hard is rather unlikely, but I still hope the best for you.

I don't take offense if you respond negatively.
It's also totally fine that you like the game, I wanted to like it too.
Objectively it is a massive failure, even WB acknowledged it pretty early on, same goes for Multiversus.

And yes, if I say that I don't purchase a product (like Helldivers 2, because of the Anticheat choice), I will not change my opinion unless I'm presented with relevant new information or a change of course from the publisher, the latter basically never happens though.

Agreed. Hell, I also said I would never buy or play Helldivers 2 (but for a different reason) and I know I won't change my mind even if it goes ftp. SS:KtJL is different though. As far as I'm concerned I was misinformed about it so I decided to try it for myself and I'm glad I did.

Anyone who says it's wrong to change your mind about something after the fact is either lying or too close minded to be taken seriously.

It depends, what reason for you was to skip the game.
Ever since day one a lot of people cried how game is " woke ", Harley is ugly, about Pride Flag in the hall (that i still even after 10 months didnt saw) and i saw few of these got the game the moment it was free on Epic or cheep here.
If you didnt like or support game because of gameplay, story or graphical design then that is totally different and when it comes to that its totally fine that people change their mind once they see more and try it.
But unfortunately that is the problem today we have close to none journalists/reviewers who talk about game objectively, they all review games based on their political views and we now have journos that are either far-right or far-left. they mix their political view and we end up with games like Suicide Squad that have Good Gameplay Good Story and that looks gorgeous fail because questionable reviewers cant get over 1 flag that is not noticeable or the fact that Harley looks amazing and not like some bimbo from p.rn movies like they wanted her to look.

It really doesn't, even the publisher only cares about the purchase, if it comes from a "hater" it still generates them money.
If Warner was able to sell 100 million copies at 3$, they would be singing songs about their success, but even for that price it's still not making it into the bestsellers.

Also keep in mind that basically all game journalists that are factored into the metacritic score are rather vocal about their political views and they are always on the side of DEI.
So the bad ratings from SSKTJL aren't the result of "evil game journalists disliking Harley's looks", they are the result of them disliking the gameplay.

As a DC fan, the story was already insulting enough, due to many lore errors, if people enjoyed it for the "Marvel humor" that's fine for me, but the endgame is literally not defendable, you can enjoy it, but no enemy variety and no mission variety are very valid points.
It also becomes a pointless grind after finishing the story, no story continuation for 4 seasons is just sad, just recycled Brainiac fights over and over and over...

I dont think people hate gameplay, even these people who dislike game they said only good things about gameplay because its refreshing then most other Looter Shooters we have with fast traversal combat. But yea Endgame is rly bad its constant grind of same incursion mission just to get pieces of gear you want. That is main reason why i didnt play game for over 8 months and i just started after Offline mode release so i can unlock all playable characters and Battle Pass gear before they close servers.
The thing is these journalists chase trends. If first review of the game was positive and if people didnt make fun of the game even before release, they all would give positive review.
Also i dont look at story like something that came from DC universe, i look it it as something independent and not related to anything DC. If you look at it like that story is rly fun and engaging. And lets be real. characters are rly likable no matter what you think about game, their chemistry is so good and i laughed a lot of time.
Additional characters on the other hand are not that good, i like Joker he have so many crazy one liners that you cant help but laugh. Lawless is just OK, and Mrs Freeze even to this day i think they intentionally changed gender of MR Freeze at last moment just to piss people more, because if you pay attention to what she say and how she say, her design its like Victor. So i think they just trolled people by changing his gender.
All in all i think game is worth playing, just for story, for endgame content not so much unless you rly like gameplay.

Well when you look at it, make sense.
If we could use mods then we could just mod skins and we wouldnt need to pay for any skin so ofc they will try to prevent that :D

Considering Gotham knights has a fairly active modding community (that consists mostly of 1 guy and the few people he'll help out) it's not impossible to have an active mod community even on failed games. But online only until five minutes ago and widely panned/tolerated probably isn't going to give anyone a reason to invest more time into it when they could just mod arkham instead

It's hard for me to call this an OFFLINE mode because at the start, EasyAntiCheat still launches, and there's a connection to WB servers. In what sense is this OFFLINE? I just don't get it... Also, you can't launch the game if Steam or Epic Games is in OFFLINE mode -_- ... So, this is just a STRIPPED-DOWN VERSION that makes things even worse than before. In short, the developers have finally buried the product entirely.

Maybe you're right. I didn't skip the game because of all the woke agenda pushing. I skipped it because I didn't think I'd like a DC themed "looter shooter" that played fast and loose with DC characters (i.e Mrs. Freeze and head shot Harley) but I was wrong, and I'm big enough to admit that.

I was considering modding for this game, but not now.... Everything I'm hearing is just bad.
This is exactly the sort of passive-aggressive, heel dragging 'offline' patch I feared it would be (back when I had a 'lets wait & see how the final update turns out' mindset. It just renders the whole thing a waste of time; when it's put in place in such a way to actively fight against you & make things needlessly difficult. Segregating online & offline save progress is another annoying, but utterly predictable move I was also concerned about months ago that has come to fruition. EAC still in place for a single player/coop game = Nope! F' off!

Further more, I hear the performance issues/stuttering are now even worse lol.

This is about as bad as my most cynical estimate could have predicted back then. I can't speak for other modders, but this just isn't an attractive proposition to work on with all these problems (particularly when some have been put there on purpose to ruin the potential fun).

Ultimately disappointing, but I can't say I'm remotely surprised given its fundamentally greedy microtransaction core. I was just checking in every few months to see how updates/content were materialising for potential possibilities.

With this being the final update really, I guess I can just dismiss this game entirely now.
