Alright supposedly from what I cobbled up on the "WWW" the game had an arc where they where going to bring back the real JL and reveal that what the SS killed where evil clones or some similar bs of that type... I figured they already had all that crap done and dusted and you know how this live service and just AAA gaming is nowdays selling you a game piecemeal so they can charge you 100+ bucks for a game that cant hold a candle to the staples of even a decade prior.
