unlocking characters in offline mode
is it possible? or do I have to play the game online to do so?

No you dont need to play online, you can also unlock them offline because all Episodes are available offline. You need online just for Battle Pass and Marketplace.

Be nice if they eventually came with a mod to let you play whoever you want without having to play dozens of hours with someone else while you 'unlock' said character.

Can't wait to play with Deadshotdaugther!
