[Linux] Black screen when launching

The game starts, I see the first two title screens. but then it just goes black.

Re-installed twice.. nothing.

What can I do?

Nope. I have a xbox controller wireless remote plugged in, but the controller has never been turned on. Should I try unplugging it?

ah - just unplugged it and the game now launches....

Sadly, there's a bug with wireless controllers and the game. We're looking into it.

Yes, that's quite the shame. I was hoping I could play with a controller just as I did back when it was out on PS1. Sadly, it's the same issue on mac.

Note that the game crashes at first launch (i just bought it) if the controller is plugged in. Removing it make the game launch, and then the game does not crash anymore after that even if the controller is plugged in. I believe that should be fixed though! Imagine what happens when people start playing this game with a Steam Machine without mouse of keyboard!
