but i highly recommend getting all of the games in the series, if not to compare, then to get the complete story.
but if you're trying to choose just one - new n tasty.
if you get abes oddysee you're going to want to get exoddus. then munch's oddysee.
if you get new n tasty you can complete that while they remake exoddus.
the choice is really up to you on how much odd you really want to expose yourself to.
but for most fun - new n tasty
for complete experience - whole odd bundle.
the original gave you 99 mudokon to save/kill/leave.
the remake gives you 300 mudokon to save/kill/leave.
new areas and obstacles are added as well as the originals restored and added to.
yes, the rumors are true - they are remaking exoddus as well and the company would very much benefit from support from everyone interested. they're an independent company so they don't have millions upon millions. the money they make they funnel back through to fund their titles.
abe's oddysee, abe's exoddus, munch's oddysee & stranger's wrath were developed & published by oddworld inhabitants.
nowadays, oddworld inhabitants hired the company just add water solely to make "odd" games. so far they have remade abe's oddysee as new n tasty with just add water as developers & oddworld inhabitants as publisher.
so everyone from the original franchise is still supporting the franchise and are very much involved. buying new n tasty, being their newest product, shows a tremendous amount of support for new and future content, while buying every product (they are commonly on sale below dollar value) shows them the most amount of support one could give for current and future content.
