That was in Exoddus. New 'n' Tasty is based on Oddysee.
/UPD/ I'm gonna try to play original version just to be sure, and if I did really confused these two games, I'll publicly say sorry for being stupid...
In Oddysee Angry just made Abe do a frustrated noise. It has next to zero use mechanically.
Instead of considering a refund, maybe you should've bought it for full price and support the development of Exoddus remake, where should be all the satisfying slapping included ;-)
But yeah, I did realise there wasn't a hissing sound in this one when he got angry, nor did the mudokens say 'No' when you asked them to follow you. Or was that only in Exoddus as well? So confused haha. Regardless, I wanna see Exoddus remake!
This brought back hysterical childhood memories.
But it isn't a huge deal really. More reason to keep the original around.
And the emotions / slapping was definitely only the second one. And the laughing gas lol. I was expecting to see them just combine those features into NnT, but I can wait for the second remaster :p
still fun tho.
