Problem in Zulag 1 with A door only opened by Sligs

I played the game without any problem until a point in Zulag 1 where a slig needs to open a security door (a tunnel immediately after). Only Sligs seem to be able to do it. I am not able to make the possessed slig open the door and am actually stuck in the game ! I went over many walkthroughs no one indicates a problem there and in videos it seems just another step you need to do. I tried all possible keyboard buttons active in the game, but nothing! So I am hopelessly stuck and ran out of ideas? any help????? I play PC version... thanks.

I restarted the chapter and tried a few different paths but nothing changes.

You need to repeat the password you hear. Or even if you do that, it won't work?

If you go near the machine with the slig, you will hear a password. You need to repeat that. Its like the whistle ones in scabania and paramonia, just with slig this time.
