Could be your case? Give as a screenshot of the game when it happens.
Or if you have any MDMP files in your Rodina folder you might try sending those to me at brendan@elliptic-games.com
But yeah if you run across any more info feel free to share and hopefully I can fix somethign! Thanks!
Hmmm, when it happens it doesn't spit out a mini dump; only times I've gotten those are when something weird happens with the mapping, either Xenos being stuck or falling through the map and then when trying to have it create the minidump, it then turns around and errors and tries to spit out another minidump for "being unable to create a minidump" and then that'll just keep cascading and saying how *that* error to create a minidump cannot create a minidump (into a probable infinite amount of times) until I force close the game.
Anyways, I digress lol
Will do on the screenshots!
Hmmm, could try turning off cloud saves for the game and see what happens
What OS you are using? Windows 11 perhaps
I had seen some weird misbehaviours from Steam installed games on Windows 11 - as not being able to write log files on the game's root folder, besides being able to write files on subfolders.
Since I'm playing on Steam Deck, I'm shielded from Windows 11 shenanigans, but on another game I play (and mod), some users reached me unable to provide me the game's log because that specific file had the write privileges withdrawn for that user and I had to instruct him to run some command line black magic in order to allow the game to write the damned log, so the user could send it to me...

1) Steam has their own error reporting mechanism / MDMP file creation which exist outside of mine. It sounds like you didn't see any MDMP files but let me know if you see any in the folder. I will also check Steam's error reporting mechanism to see if anything has been generated lately.
2) Unfortunately the only lead we have - the last error you posted, indicates GPU issues. It's possible that Rodina is blowing up your GPU with terrain generation or something. If that's the case, it's possible for you to be seeing crashes and errors which wouldn't be "clean". Have you ever had weird hangs or experienced a full-blown GPU crash where your whole computer seems to freeze up?
DXDIAG:
You might send me you DXDiag file - just open you start menu, type DXDiag and run it and then save the results (there's button at the bottom which says "Save All Information"). You could send that to me at brendan@elliptic-games.com if you like. It might tell me more about your setup.
Very sorry for the issues. Hopefully we can clear them up but as always I want to offer a refund if we can't get it working - just let me know if you would like to do that, no worries!
Lisias - all great points, thank you for mentioning them. It's very possible that I should fix Rodina's saves to properly follow Window protocols.
1. it generates the files but they're just in name only as the files have zero data.
2. Hmmm, interesting; I'll need to see what the utilization is as I play but nope, no hard PC crashing nor freezes, just the game.
....hmmmm...would the game have an issue with MSI Afterburner or Rivatuner?
with Afterburner; I don't use it for anything other than setting a fan curve, no funky timings or power values.
Edit: yeah the game hardly utilizes my GPU; just had a crash and at the time of the crash the GPU was sitting at ~20% utilization and at a super cool 34 degrees C
2nd Edit: nope, MSI Afterburner being off doesn't do anything.
> Rivatuner
You never know. I don't have a reason to think overclocking would be related (it sounds like you aren't seeing any evidence of it). I remember a long time ago when the game first came out, I had a user with WEIRD errors sort of like this. It turned out he was running the game on some crazy setup involving a virtual machine - no idea if was the cause of the problems but that was when I was like "Sorry man, this is above my pay grade" lol
One thing that we need to keep in mind is that flash memory (used on NVMe's) can silently get corrupted. A macro-cell dies (and every single one of them will die eventually), the NVMe's firmware (there's an ARM there!) relocates it to a sparing one and keep going - and the net result is the loss of that macro-cell data.
Steam have a feature to detect and fix corrupted files.

Ahh gotcha, will try that; had tried file verification before and it did say it repaired two or three files.
Will also send ya the DxDiag.
