Very good mechanics
Interesting Sprite design (Except for the possible copyright from Disney and Plants Vs Zombies)
Unfinished story mode
Price point too high for casual players.

Would recommend if you get it at like $7.99

I have finished playing this game on Stream over the last 2 hours.

Currently the Adventure/Story Mode currently has 5 Chapters OF WHICH only 3 are currently available with the last 2 being Undead and Dragon currently "Coming Soon"

The available Story is serviceable as a tutorial on how to play the game but nothing ground breaking in terms of an in depth and riveting plot to follow. Expect roughly a 30 Minute to 1 Hour experience at default fight speed.

Fights consist of 2 phases
Phase 1 - Shop/Tavern Phase where the user accrues money after winning or getting a draw from the previous fight. During this time you can do the following:
1. Organize your troops
2. Organize your land
3. Buy troops or land
4. Reroll the Shopkeepers listing for 1 gold
5. Start the battle
6. After several battles you get to pick a bonus effect that will carry to next rounds


Phase 2 - Auto Battle
This is very straight forward you let your units fight in order using their special abilities:
Deathrattle
Divine Shield
Taunt
Roar
And other triggered effects

You can also adjust the battle speed from 1x 2x and 3x.

Finally after each of the fights you might get a little bit of story or you might get 1 or 2 choices that will determine the next set of enemies you will face.

Rinse and repeat.

Nothing wrong with a game like this. I don't expect some riveting story so long as the gameplay is solid. I will say the gameplay is pretty good. Alot of random factors like synergy with monsters and fusion if you have the required amount on the field touching each other in proximty after a round. Gives alot of possible strategy and replay value OUTSIDE of the Adventure/Story mode.


The actual star to the show is the casual and ranked modes. These modes allow you to face off against presumably saved templates from other players who have played the game which can range from easy to downright crazy with the amount of buffing and strategy they have to their unit combination.

The game is probably worth it at like $7.99 USD but at the current price with the current content I think it might be a hard sell. Pretty good mechanics... questionable art that seems very "Inspired" with a Mrs. Teapot knockoff and Plants Vs Zombies styled sunflowers... but overall deep mechanics that make casual or ranked play something worth doing... just not for a long playthru, maybe short bursts. I will recommend the game but would definitely wait for a price drop with sales.

Cute and simple auto-battler. It's not my genre, so I cannot go too deep on what's works or doesn't, but I had plenty of fun with the game, especially at that price point. Variety is on the lower side, but I'm sure it will improve over time.
