Any Good Lighting Mods?

Anyhow, might try these freeware mods first. $15 for better lights is steep, if you paid $5 for the sim.

Looks nice but ill wait for others that use it and get there opinion. What works for the box set may not work for steam.

Shockwave 3D lights won't have any issues with FSX-SE, if you have only SE running on your system. All it does is replace your relevant effects\*.fx files and effects\texture\*.* files. That's all.

Confirmed. Just ordered and installed it on my Steam only installation (installer asks you where your FSX path is per the A2A instructions). They addressed the issue of having blobs for runway lights. Although payway, I felt it worth it. They are better than the REX Essential runway lighting too, and the REX runway lighting is pretty good. Course, this is only my opinion. It works with Steam edition. I purchased the 3D Lights Redux from an online retailer - so I can better keep track of all the addons I purchased in the last 2 weeks.

I've had the box version for years and never played it. Somehow this Steam version has "made" me spend about $400+ in addons I never new existed before. The $5 I spent on the game has me wanting more every time I play it. It's crazy.

Oh...A2A is like Crystal Meth (as seen on TV). Oh sure, you may start with the 3D lights or maybe an Aircraft Factory F4U...then BLAM....you want thier entire hangar - even though you know FS 2015 will be released later this year and you'll probably have to buy them all over again. It's crazy...and it works on the FSX Steam Edition <- $5 ...pffft

I've seen FS2015 discussed in several places on the web, while searching for troubleshooting info on my addons. I didn't pay too much attention, as I was more interested in getting what I have now to work. I don't know if it's people trolling though.

No plans yet for a release of Flight Sim 2015. There is a Farming Sim 2015, and a Train Sim 2015, but no FS2015. If they were releasing it mid-2015 it'd be called FS 2016 anyhow.
