adding .bgl scenery files
At one point almost every .bgl file I installed added scenery objects but suddenly none of them show up any more.

is an important detail which is missing. What happened immediately before the "but suddenly" bit?

Also which bgl files? Where did you install them? What doesn't show up?

I second that - it could be anything - one of a dozen things or more. Some information about changes to the sim or your computer would lift the haze a bit ;)

Sorry for not being as direct as I should have been.

The files are add on .bgl scenery files that I downloaded from FlightSim. I installed them all in my FSX/addon scenery/scenery folder. They worked/showed once but the next time I started the game they weren't there anymore. By showing I mean the building enhancements didn't show up neither did the extra AI aircraft or ground handling equipment etc. The only airport scenery now is the default Microsoft items.

I have re loaded them a number of times but with no luck. I have no problem loading add on scenery files via the library function but not individual .bgl files via the FSX/Addon Scenery/scenery method.

They dissapeared after a sytem shut down then re start and I have not made any major changes to my system during or before this time .

Are the bgl files still in Addon Scenery\scenery or have they gone? Also is Addon Scenery at the top of the scenery list (highest priority - 1) or below the other scenery areas?

The bgl files are still in the AddonScenery/scenery folder and the Addon cenery was at the bottom of the library list. I moved it to the top and rebooted the program then re booted the PC but the problem still persists.

So in the Scenery List Addon Scenery is now #1?

Can you give me details of one or two of these addons so that I can check them myself?

lots of files there, all BGL
no files in the E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\Addon Scenery\textures directory

it's usually what the problem is..

Morag, I don't have any problem adding through the library, they all install as they always have in FSX. It's the Scenery/addonscenery/scenery method that doesn't work.
