Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

FSPassengers is no longer compatible... what? Why you do this?
Seriously... FSPassengers barely even does anything in the actual game other than the menubar access and the kneeboards etc.

So why you make an update that makes FSPassengers get shafted?

Without FSPassengers there is almost no reason for me to even play the game, since I get bored of doing simple free-flights to whereever.

How the hell do I downgrade to previous version of FSX : SE cause I rather play the previous version with FSPassengers than ANY update, nomatter how good, without FSPassengers.

What a complete bummer to come home and find myself befreft of an evenings flying experience...

*sigh*

Hi Ghroznak and thanks for getting in touch, FSPassangers is a third party add-on which is independent of FSX: SE. Our understanding is that it was last updated in April which means it may not be compatible with this latest version of FSX. For all help and advice about using FSP please contact their development team directly via their website - http://www.fspassengers.com/?action=home

Thanks again for letting us know,

- Martin

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the info. I have the same problem as Ghroznak. Fs passengers X and Ground Services Extreme are both not working. I know I will have to wait a few days and possibly a few weeks before thoes 3rd party developers release updates for their add ons. Is there a way I can temporarily downgrade to the previous version of FSX:SE until f's passengers X and GSX are updated.

Cheers

Ditto for me. Did not want patch, did not ask for patch, got forced to patch because a;) FSX SE crashed yet again in windows10 b.) no warning the patch was being implemented c.) your advice to "backup" stuff was litteraly pointless as it game AFTER the patch had already applied. And there is no rollback option for the previous build.

So now I have broken content, and will likely need to wait weeks to get it working again. All for some "updates" that are pretty much frikin pointless.

GG Dovetail. You can forget about me buying any of your add-ons.

Come to FSeconomy guys, it's even better than fspassenger, and free.
TheBladeUk Sep 8, 2015 @ 10:11am
Do an update without telling 3rd party developers? Good idea!!!! I can't play my flight simulator until they release an update. Cheers Dovetail

I thought you may have understood that FSX is all about the 3rd party addons and not the base game!

My FS Passenger no longer works as well..so far the rest seems ok..still testing.

Has anyone also had a proper with GSX (Ground Services Extreme) since the update today. Mine has simply dissappeared

My GSX is still there..it works.

It seems a real shame that any update is not run past 3rd party add ons before it is forced upon us. Come on dovetail play ball. Either give the 3rd party a chance to get an update out if needed or at least tell us with a choice not to upgrade for the time being. As mentioned before, this sim is all about the add on content.

Is there a way of downgrading to the previous version??

Ditto. Even after uninstalling FSPassengers, verifying the integrity of my game caches, countless system reboots, etc my FSX no longer works. The application crashes after about 5 minutes, whether in the home menu, sitting on the apron in an aircraft, or even if still loading scenery! The whole reason I purchased the steam edition was for an up to date version of the game that was stable, perhaps I shouldn't have bothered! As for not informing 3rd party developers of the update (never mind the rest of us, who couldnt backup as the game already updated), thats a really bad call and asking for trouble!

Dang it. I completely agree on this matter. FSP is the only reason I play FSX. With this latest update, I am essentially in the same place as if I downloaded a non-working update. Please provide a way to undo this update.

I completely agree, this update has been and utter pain the ar*e for no additional content. Literally not one thing listed in the new build is beneficial. I've lost fspassengers, and now I've spent my whole evening trying to get the basic core game to work, which is now no longer running properly either. I'm finding its either crashing on startup, takes about half an hour to load a flight and when it does finally load the textures look terrible and it lags like crazy. Please let us revert back to the last update, don't just force us to accept this without any choice in the matter! This is now broken content!!
I too, would like to go back to the previous version. I only play FSX for FSPassengers.

Hi THECOOOOOOOOOON,

Once you have accepted an update there is no way to roll back to an earlier version. For future reference you can control what games are updated automatically through your Steam account. The Steam (Valve) support team can help you set this up. Please click here to contact them https://help.steampowered.com/

In the meantime, like you say, we are sure these third party developers are working hard on updating their add-ons to the latest version, and you won't have to wait too long for everything to be back to normal.

If we can help you with anything else FSX: SE related please let us know,

- Martin
