Ive looked and I dont think we have one through Steam, it is linked with FSX, ive checked email and paypal records.

Is it asking you for one?

No, I would like to use ASN with P3D but the steam version crashes upon connecting. I've noticed there is a P3D download version but its asking me for license key.

I just received a receipt from paypal but the product key is not inside.

Are you trying to use the Steam version outside Steam? I would doubt you can; I think all the DLC is set up to work exclusively with FSX:SE.

With stuff like ASN, Orbx etc I think if you are looking to use it elsewhere, such as in P3D, then it's probably best to purchase direct. It will cost more but then it has that extra functionality which these "lite" versions don't have.

They should put this in the description next time. I'd rather buy the version which I can use with other sims which I wont now because I feel cheated.

But they aren't selling "other sims"......they are selling FSX:SE so why should they say whether or not it works in P3D or something else?

Because I thought this was ASN and ASN is not only limited to FSX:SE.

I can understand your frustration. But it does say:

"Downloadable Content
This content requires the base game Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition on Steam in order to play."

It's the old case of "buyer beware".

you think this is a valid reason for a refund so that I can buy the proper version from the simMarket?

And does that version work with FSX:SE?

I think you can only claim a refund if you have used FSX:SE for less than two hours since purchasing the add-on.....or something like that. I take it you've used it more. But it's always worth trying.

I used ASN in FSX:SE (until I ditched FSX) and I've also used it in P3V2.5 and now 3. I think there are separate downloads depending on what sim you are using but just the one purchase.
