BGL Compiler ERROR in: Airport Design Editor
After startup of ADE i got a message :

Unfortunately ADE cannot find the BGL Compiler. It has looked in both your settings file and the registery and cannot find a valid path. This means that your FSX SDK is not installed in the Default folder, and/or the registery entry for the SDK does not match the location of the SDK. Until this is corrected it is not going to be possible to compile your airport.

This means ADE can not work with FSX-SE for now...

Can someone help me with a solution for this problem please? :-|

Regards Jaap

You can install the P3D 1.4 SDK and point ADE to that
http://www.prepar3d.com/support/sdk/
you don't need to install this to your FSX folder.

edit: just to add, there's nothing gone wrong btw, the Steam version of FSX doesn't come with the SDK like the old boxed version did but the SDK for P3D is compatible.

Thank you very much Morag, i've downloaded and installed Prepar3D_SDK_1.4.4747.0.exe

You writed, and point ADE to that.

I assigned to

=============================================================

Program Options/ (TAB) General:

FS Main Folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\

BglComp Folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D SDK 1.4.4747.0\Environment Kit\BGL Compiler SDK

Shp2Vec Folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Program Options/ (TAB) Project:

Save Projects To: D:\MSFS\FS Design Tools\Airport Design Editor 165\FSX\Projects

Compile: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Addon Scenery\scenery

Save Xml: nothing is assigned?

=============================================================

Now during startup there appears NO MENTION.

Would you finally just confirm whether I have made the new installation please...

Thank you for helping me.

Regards, Jaap

Here's the ones I have set, your Shp2Vec path looks like it might be wrong.

FS Main Folder
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX
BglComp Folder
C:\Games\P3DSDK\Environment Kit\BGL Compiler SDK
Shp2Vec Folder
C:\Games\P3DSDK\Environment Kit\Terrain SDK

Hello Morag, thank you for replying to me,

It's not possible in my computer to install as you assigned, Steam is placed in my computer in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

This are the only 3 paths i can find to assign:

FS Main Folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\

BglComp Folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D SDK 1.4.4747.0\Environment Kit\BGL Compiler SDK

Only the 3e one is changed to:
Shp2Vec Folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D SDK 1.4.4747.0\Environment Kit\Terrain SDK

I hope you can agree with it?

Regards, Jaap
