I don't even have it on my system at the minute - because of issues - but I am being patient and awaiting the recently announced 'Chase Plane' software. It looks very good, and should be a better option by the look of it.
You need to forward this presentation video to 14 min 45 sec

Thanks a lot for your reply and comments. I had forgotten about Chase Plane, I had read something about it - I will investigate and am not in a hurry so I can wait...
the manual is pretty understandable, save for a part where it explains more complex settings of cameras in regard to head/aircraft movements...that's not even necessary to consider (I use TrackIr, and I've deactivated head movements)
in FSX, the only issue I'm suffering is that with some airliners, the switch keys to external views won't work, and I have to switch to that views via its interface (not a big issue)
in prepar3D, moreover, the world cameras won't work
yet it's a joy to have it, either for managing flights in complex airliners, or for improved sightseeing experience, airport spotting, and so on
It is buggy, though. I experience things like the camera shaking when moving the camera forward in the fast setting. Sometimes I click and the camera may spin around but that's really it.
It makes flying more realistic because it motion in the cockpit for things like takeoff bumps, turbulence and off course, bumping on touch down.
Something you should know that, from my own experience, EZdok does not even work on Windows 10. Also, it does not work with Steam DLC because of the silly file position. Another thing, the Steam overlay does not stop EZdok from being controlled, meaning that if you have A binded to as the key to move to a different position in the cockpit, as you're typing, you may start moving around the cockpit!
I did download the two manuals to have a review and they do seem good. Also there are some great YouTube videos out there. - thanks...
First off thank you...
Secondly all was going well until you mentioned a few things at the end which all affect me...
- Windows 10, which I would not be without.
- Steam DLC - which I have a lot of.
- Stem overlay issue, wouldn't EZdok realize there are a lot of Steam users and created a fix for all of this?!
I do set the properties of EZCA.exe to grant run as admin, maybe that could help?
EDIT: I will be looking at Chase Plane upon it's release though, hope it isn't too expensive :)
My issue with EZdok on Windows 10 is that none of the views would work. It's very fustrating and I wish there were fixes, but this is an old community of old, reliable addons.
I appreciate that UAC can cause havoc with FSX due to it's age and being written at a time when people weren't continually trying to compromise your PC. However, having employed recommendations, like installing away from Program Files (x86), running Steam as admin etc. I have few issues with the program, other than world views and it generally being fussy as to whether it wants to load with FSX at all occasionally.
I am running version 1.1.8.7 (30/10/15) btw, which I understand was updated slightly for the Steam version of FSX.
What made the difference for the success?
