FSLabs A320 or Aerosoft A320 Extended???
This is killing me. I've done a TON of reasearch on this topic, and haven't gotten a good response from any forum or youtube video. I'm a pilot with 250 hours in the PMDG 737 and 175 hours in the PMDG 777, and love each plane to death. I've never had more fun playing a "video game" if you call it that. Now I want to expand my horison and go to an Airbus. I've settled to the A320 and will wait for the Aerosoft A330(yes it's happening) to add on top of the A320. For the meanwhile, I will get an A320, and there's my problem: What one should I get? I love the design of both the FSLabs A320 and the Aerosoft A320 Extended. I'm torn, I really am, and need some help. I love flying and expanding my hobby and hopefully job soon as much as possible. To meet my Criteria, the plane needs to: be multiplayer compatable, be able to hold an altitude, keep an assigned speed, and be as realistic as possible. The cost of all the Aerosoft Series is $90 ish and the FSLabs is $100. Money is a non-issue for me, unless it's a terrible plane and a waste. I want the best plane, and hope I get it. Any Help?

Hi, ludwick. Are both of the airplanes that you desire equally "realistic" in form and function? Myself, I like to do longer hauls than the average sim pilot so I usually fly those aircraft with the greater range. What types of flights would you be conducting, and for the type of flying that you wish to do, which one would be the best suited to your purposes?

Have you looked up cockpit photographs of the actual airplanes and compared the sim models to them, by chance? Comparing the real thing to the sim model is usually the first thing that I do before making a decision. Also, you could ask "Froogle(sim)" about them, since there's a good chance that he's flown them and has a opinion about them.

Since I built a few Boeing aircraft during my aerospace career, I'm partial to Boeing and aside from the default Airbus aircraft that come with FSX I know little else about them (Airbuses). Is there *anything* about either the Aerosoft or the FSLabs A320s that noticeably distinguishes one from the other? Maybe some small difference may make all the difference.

Either way, I hope that you'll be really happy with whichever aircraft you choose. :steamhappy:

Happy flying,

APUtech
The FSLabs bus is supposedly much better, and had much more detailed, PMDG-class if not better flight and system modeling. The only things it does not have so far compared to the Aerosoft one is lack of certain FMS functions like secondary flight plan, which are supposedly coming later in a service pack, and lack of an integrated FS2Crew type copilot addon.

I looked into that that but couldn't find the use for a secondary flight plan. I'm not sure if that would be nesessary but I'll look a little deeper.

Hi APU, to answer your queston, I've read that the FSLabs was a better fit for form and function Also with a size plane of the A320 will normally do flights about 750 miles. Also I did use pictures to a large extent and the FSLabs did look a little more like the real one. However, the Aerosoft does look look better on a computer srceen, and that has thrown me around a bit. That could be a difference maker. I've watched Matt Davies use the Aerosoft and this guy named Captain Mac use the FSLabs, and the Aerosoft does look a bit better. I feel I'm leaning toward the FSLabs, but who knows maybe I could change my mind
