OZx seems to be no more
After many years of quality Australian scenery for FSX, especially the work they did on the hundreds of small airfield dotted around the country, it seems that OZx's website has gone down. I hope this is not permanently. No one else has done anywhere near the same content as OZx so IMO has become irreplaceble, Many of the airfields, including the one I have my aircraft hangered, is not being offered by any other addon maker, free or otherwise.

However, I have found an archive site offering the OZx scenery files for free download. I would encourage those who still use OZx or those interested to download a copy while you can

Well that is indeed sad to hear. A fan of both their scenery and free planes
I just tried to goto OZx's web site and saw a message that the web site had been compromised and that it was being worked on.

I hope you're right Ken. It would be a great loss to the Australian and North American flight sim community if they're closing up.
I haven't heard anything regarding they're closing so I'll keep checking.

Talking about the OZx scenery, I re-downloaded it from those archive sites I listed above, and I noticed an interesting glitch happen.

At the 3.2 version, it says to install a "Preparation" patch before I proceeded. I did that and all the texures from the OZx scenery disappeared. Even contining on to the finish, the texures did not come back. So I deleted OZx and started again, this time not putting in this preparation patch. Everything worked fine.

This software came out about 10 years ago so I guess what was in this file was helpful, but to modern systems it may no longer be so.

Well, it's been over a month and the site is still down.... I'd be downloading those files I put links to earlier, as soon as you can if you like Ozx

Hi all,

The message "OZx has been Compromised" means that OZx was hacked. People broke in and shut down the server. The PRIMARY most important scenery files can be found (somewhere) on flightsim.com temporarily. Currently JayKae is working to get OZx back online, however he doesn't have much time due to family and health issues.

Sorry but OZx might not be back for a while.

I hate hackers. Totally malicious self centred idiots who have no problems with hurting others for no reason.... I hope they die painfully from cancer, which is what they are...

Does anyone know if the Ozx scenery works in P3D v4? I still have all the installers for it for FSX.

I would say it does. Try it out, it's free. My understanding is that many add-ons are cross-compatible between the two platforms.

Thanks, tried it and worked flawlessly. No need to copy files or anything. I just went into the p3d v4 add scenery menu and added all of my ozx scenery (ants airports) from my fsx installation.

Saved me having to buy ybbn from orbx
