F1 GTN 750 problems - Customer support warrning!
Hi all.

I recently started to fly after some time off game and i noticed that my GTN 750 is dead. I see frame in cockpit, but it is not working. I did send mail to support, but I hoped that someone might also had problems like me here.

Definitely turned on? ..... I say that because I thought mine was broken but I was not turning it on properly. The 'power on' button for the GPS is the round one at the top left of the unit. Click on that for a couple of seconds to power it up. Aircraft avionics need to be on also I think.

Other than that I know Microsoft security essentials was messing with the GTN:

I did tried both options, added F1 to my excluded list in defender, and reinstalled GTN750 , again and I also did tried to click all buttons I could, be it fast or long press..So far no luck. I guess i need to wait for support and see what they say.

Did you remember to install the Garmin trainer again? ... I think the latest download version needs the new trainer on the flight 1 page.

Ok, I just finished repair of Garmin trainer and my GTN 750 is still not working unfortunately.

Weird Tommy .... nothing more I can think of except checking that antivirus has not quarantined a file. It kind of seems like that as the old and new version is being killed. My Norton sonar silently kills my FSCloud every time despite being excluded.

Maybe try the whole installation with AV etc off and running both FSX and GTN as administrator. Are you using DX10 preview?

I think that there are deeper problem but I will never find out and tbh I don't care anymore. I got totaly pi..d off today with awfull, crappy, moneygrabbing FlightOne support. To make story short, they basically got my 64 $ for damn GTN 750 and now when i have problem with their product thay just kicked me off with excuse that I should go to forums. Well, I can fly perfectly fine without that and I can only write warning for any potential F1 produst buyers out there. Do not buy their products unless you are fine with fact that you are sc...ed if you get problem later on.
My money is gone, but lesson is learned: Never ever buy any product without nothing but perfect customer support and complete product. This now became just rippoff for me but I can only blame myself for being naive. I will most certainly never ever buy any F1 product again and all companies alike. I got my share fo premium FSX froducts in my garage, but this was by far worst support experience ever.

F1 customers be warned!

Sorry to hear that Tommy.

Is the trainer programme software working? ..... turning on etc.
Tommy Lee Oct 13, 2017 @ 10:17am
I uninstalled everything GTN related and that was it for me and F1.

I see Tommy.

For info if you can't get the Garmin trainer software working it is a problem with that. If the trainer is turning on then it's a F1 problem.

The trainer software needs to work on it's own.

You are giving up too soon my friend this is fixable ..... sometimes it takes me several months to fix flightsim problems :-)

It is all about damn face and correct behaviour to customer. If they don't respect me as customer, then they most certainly did not deserved anything from me, even trying to resolve this. And honestly I just wanted to warn potential buyers to loads of problems with GTN. There are other companies. At this point I don't even care about them anymore.

Sorry to hear about your problems, but as Steve Mark points out, this is a solvable problem. Making sure the Garmin trainer program is running is usually the key. I had a problem with the download of the GTN 750 and was quite pleased with the response to get it set straight. Your mileage may vary.

No issues here.
You are aware MOST aircraft do NOT have a native window made for the gps?
Some aircraft require you to install the gps via their configuration programs, like A2A.

You can also add a window for it in aircraft where it is not natively supported.
