Got confused as it allows a person to put an airport in. If the airport shows rain ,I tell it to load that theme. Then it tells me to start FSX which shows only fair weather at that airport. I did not use the FSX real weather part.
Secondly the runways are all STD fsx and do not show any of the thmes I preload in REX?
Not sure why the std FSX runway textures are showing?
The airport you enter in REX4 is used to choose from the texture palette, the ones that will fit best this particular weather and airport.
Did you start the REX configuration tool in admin mode? It has to overwrite defaults textures when it installs them
An alternative to FSX weather is to use ASN which will inject weather, but not textures.
I will try it. Petrhaps I was confusing it with Rex weather plus
I reloaded .net framework to no avail
Im running windows 8.1 64 bit
1) all files from REX (16.8GB, 17.4k files)
2) your settings are pointing to the right FSX installation
3) have .Net 4.5+ installed (reboot after)
Don't know what SQL files you're missing. Sounds like you'll have to re-download REX again. Use flashget to ensure your massive download doesn't go screwey.
It starts but the moment i want to click on its settings it freezes
I am at a loss now
FSX runs fine but rex wont. I am at a loss now.
