Logitech Attack 3 joystick doesn't work anymore
Good morning, -(I apologize for online translation) - for a few days now my Logitech Attack 3 joystick (actually old ....) has stopped working with FSX-SE. I checked the drivers and it works with the Google Hearth flight simulator.
I went to Steam> Settings> Controller> General Locations> and my joystick is exactly indicated. The next "Controller Settings" window does not represent Attack 3 but probably a ..... Play Station (!?) and so the settings are impossible for me.
What can I still do? (P.S. - I have already re-established the game several times). Thank you.

Go back to Steam> Settings> Controller> General. You will see 5 large check boxes. Uncheck them all so that nothing are checked. Exit. This should help. Steam added something at some point last year to help make controllers more compatible with their games but it actually causes problems for FSX because it needs to connect to controllers directly.

Good morning and thank you for your answer. I tried to do what you recommend, really I re-re-....tried again .... I did it with the controller inserted, detached, reinserted "during", etc.
On the open game page, the option> settings> controls always appears "Mouse yoke" with other choice "Mouse Look". What can I still do? I wouldn't want to throw the game ....

Sorry, I keep going. I went all the way to the bootloader search. I think it's been done so much that a "controller settings" window appeared. Too bad because, because of my computer skills,
it is absurd and I have come to nothing. Always stationary at the "Mouse Yoke" etc.

What I wrote in reply #1 is for the Steam computer application, NOT the FSX:SE program. Make sure FSX:SE is not running, then go to Steam>Settings>Controller>General and uncheck all the boxes. Make sure your controllers are plugged in first. When done close it and then run FSX:SE.

Hi, I don't know what to say ..... are always at "Yoke Mouse." "Logitech Attack 3" now appears in the controller but you cannot Set. How can you do it if the whole thing is based on the keys of the Play Station????? However you set or not, closed or open game, USB connected before or after, the result is always and only: YOKE MOUSE!!!!!!
You may be tired of answering .... think i with flies in the hand !!!

Sorry, this is the only way I know how to resolve your issue. Not many people come here anymore but hopefully someone else knows a different way to solve your issue.

Hi. Program news should make it easier for customers.... Unfortunately, sometimes, in electronics it is exactly the opposite!! Not everyone is a professional programmers or "thinks" like them. All right........... thank you again.

I agree with you volandog4! It wasn't FSX or Microsoft's fault. Steam's new function interferes with the original simulator's controller interface. :-(

That's a new tip for me. Great idea! I have just done this for myself because I use an XBox One controller with ChasePlane and I don't want it to interfere with my main FSX controls.
Thank you H3LLRIDE.

I'm glad. Hopefully Steam won't take over your controls again.
