New System requirements
I am about to buy a new system, taking a big step and going straight from FS9 to P4D :P

my old system is dated, always out of memory so im upgrading. I was looking at something i7 3.7ghz upwards, GTX 1080 graphic card, 16 or 32GB memory and an SSD hard drive, with a second HDD.

Any help as to what i should prioritize would be great, hard drive? graphics? memory? cpu?

my budget isnt endless though :) i want good graphics and no lagging

This is essentially an FSX forum. Your proposed specs look reasonable but you'd get much better advice by going to a P3D forum: https://www.avsim.com/forums/forum/436-the-prepar3d-forum/ or a multi-sim hardware forum: https://www.avsim.com/forums/forum/326-mobo-ram-cpu-hdd-ssd-desktops-laptops/

Too easy?

Usually what you find with these "recommendations" is the bare minimum, so I like to ask users for recommendations.

I think that you will find the Lockheed Martin higher specification to be suitable. Maybe double the RAM to 16GB. Depends on your budget really.

If you click on my profile and then 'View more info' you can see what I have been using for MS FSX and Steam FSX

This is what I use as a H.O.T.A.S.

Moving FSX from the HDD to a partition on the M.2 SSD made a very noticeable difference.

You can install FSX:SE and P3D to the same computer. Your specs for FSX:SE look great to me. I haven't uses P3D v.4 yet so others can tell you if you can run it at max settings smoothly.

Prioritize your CPU. Get a RTX 2070 or better. Your CPU for P3D should be at LEAST 4.0 GHz or greater at BASE clock. (Overclock if needed). That is, if you want P3D to look good and get good frame rates. If you want GOOD graphics and no lagging, I'd go with an i7 9700k OR a Ryzen 7 2700X if you're doing an ATX/AMD build. Paired with 32 GB of ram. Nothing less! Good luck on your search, it took me months to build my perfect rig. Take your time and don't rush it. Ps : Although many people will say intel is the way to go, I did an AMD ATX build and have had zero problems with it. It runs my sim perfectly and DCS runs and looks great as well. Once again, best of luck!
