Setting up FS Design Studio and Airport Design Editor
I have recently purchased the necessary sofware to design my own aircraft and airports. I understand we have to use p3d v1.4 to get the required files and both of these programs still give me the error messages that they are not present. I do not know what I am doing wrong at this point so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. I have searched google through and through for a solution and tried everything it says but it is still not working.

In ADE go to Settings>Options
under the folders tab you need to point ADE to the right folder paths

You just need to select your FSX folder and under SDK follow the path where every you installed the 1.4 SDK. So mine are like this

FS Main Folder
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX
BglComp Folder
C:\Games\P3DSDK\Environment Kit\BGL Compiler SDK
Shp2Vec Folder
C:\Games\P3DSDK\Environment Kit\Terrain SDK

I have it set just like that for ADE. Did you move p3d 1.4 sdk into your fsx folders? Im also getting an error about fsuipc error #2 not running on this machine.

Nevermind that, I just checked and it is working perfect with ADE even with that error message. I changed a runway surface from grass to asphault and did not have any issues. Now if I can figure out how to make FS design work I will be all set! Thank you!!!

I think that 'error' is just because FSX isn't running so ADE can't connect to it.
