FSX Cockpit problem

Have you checked your settings? There is a setting to adjust the transparency of the cockpit.

Now that I have seen the photo, you are missing the gauges for your Cessna 172. Try verifying the integrity of the game files using the Steam application and it should fix the missing panels

If this isn't the stock aircraft, when you start FSX-SE after you installed the aircraft addon, a number of pop-ups come up asking you to allow them to run. Most of these are instrument ones so I would imagine that if you said no to any of these, you could get that result.

BTW, I think the Support Forum would be more appropriate for your issue, don't you think?
