Hover your mouse over LIBRARY and you will see a dropdown on my system TOOLS is one up from the bottom. Click tool and Bobs your Uncle.
Not sure if removing 'E1X5' would make the plane use default light effects which can be found in FSX's effects folder. I'm going to try this later when I get back home.
[LIGHTS]
light.0 = 3, -12.4, -31.90, 2.52, fx_navredm ,
light.1 = 3, -12.4, 31.90, 2.52, fx_navgrem ,
light.2 = 2, -12.6, -31.95, 2.53, fx_strobe ,
light.3 = 2, -12.6, 31.95, 2.53, fx_strobe ,
light.4 = 1, -6.12, 0, -1.60, fx_beaconb ,
light.5 = 1, 1.21, 0, 8.76, fx_beaconh ,
light.6 = 10, 32.50, 0, 7.25, fx_vclight ,
I made a quick video too how to get it right

Very good help that you give me. Thank you more one time.
- The light .fx files (fx_navred_E1X5.fx, fx_navgre_E1X5.fx, fx_strobe_E1X5.fx, fx_beacon_E1X5.fx) are missing. Put in a script as you did for the dll.xml entries that copies and removes them to/from the "Effects" folder.
- Also, please include the aircraft configuration tool in the download. It's just an .exe file and the separate installation makes absolutely no sense.
- Why is the package split up if you didn't manage to at least copy the engine sound files to the 135LR and 145XR package?
- Add a note that the liveries that are included in store releases of this package are available from feelthere.com/download
So you've bought the Embraer ERJ-145LR DLC. Congratulations, you've got a bit of work ahead of you to bring it up to almost the same standard as the editions you can buy anywhere else.
Minus the weather radar, which is not included in the ERJ release on Steam.
But at least you're not alone, the Prepar3Dv4 guys owning the ERJ will also have to live without the radar due to compatibility reasons.
Note: If you also have the Embraer 135LR/145XR DLC and configured it according to my guide, you do not need to perform some of these actions again.
After downloading the ERJ, run FSX once to see if it installed correctly, then quit FSX.
To provide the intended functionality, install the latest version of FSUIPC for FSX from here (if you don't have it already installed):
http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html
You do not need to register (buy) it; the free version will do. If it installed correctly, you will be asked to run the module the next time you start FSX.
Then, install all SimConnect versions in
steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces
(The installers are the .msi files.)
Don't worry, they can live side by side.
Either (or both?) steps is (are) required to make the TCAS work.
This tool is strangely enough not included in the DLC and will have to be installed afterward.
Look in the "Library" menu bar of your Steam Client, then "Tools" and find the
"FSX ERJ 145LR Configuration Tool"
Select the SteamLibrary in which FSX:Steam is installed. It will be automatically added to the correct path.
The path to the tool is
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\DLC\379566\FeelThere\Erj\ErjSetup.exe
Consult the ERJ's manual (ERJ V2 Operations Manual.pdf, located in the same folder) about setting up the ERJ with the tool.
Alternatively:
You do not need the tool to configure the ERJ. In
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\DLC\379566\FeelThere\Erj\
there is a file called erj.ini. You can edit it with a text editor and configure the aircraft manually
Staying on subject of sounds, the annoying grinding sound you're hearing in the cockpit is the fuel pumps. These should not be audible in anything bigger than a general aviation aircraft. Therfor, they need to be silenced.
Here's how.
Find the sound.cfg in
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\DLC\379566\SimObjects\Airplanes\FeelThere ERJ145LR v2\sound
and open it with Notepad, then add the following to the end of the file
For probably the same reasons that they left out the engine sounds for, the gods also didn't include the original light effects for the nav, beacon and strobe lights.
You've got two options to work around this (I still expect a fix, Dovetail!):
1) Edit the aircraft.cfg
or
2) Create replacement effects
Option 1:
Open the Aircraft.cfg file in
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\DLC\379566\SimObjects\Airplanes\FeelThere ERJ145LR v2
with notepad and replace the entire [Lights] section with this one:
Close and save the aircraft.cfg.
Option 2:
This option is recommended if Dovetail ever gets to fix the missing effects as you will not have to edit the aircraft.cfg.
Go to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\Effects and find fx_navredm.fx. Make a copy of it and rename that copy (the name is probably fx_navredm - copy.fx) fx_navred_E1X5.fx.
Repeat the process for fx_navgrem.fx, renaming its copy fx_navgrem - copy.fx to fx_navgre_E1X5.fx.
And for fx_strobe.fx -> fx_strobe - copy.fx -> fx_strobe_E1X5.fx
And finally fx_beacon.fx -> fx_beacon - copy.fx -> fx_beacon_E1X5.fx
Summary:
fx_navredm.fx -> fx_navredm - copy.fx -> fx_navred_E1X5.fx
fx_navgrem.fx -> fx_navgrem - copy.fx -> fx_navgre_E1X5.fx
fx_strobe.fx -> fx_strobe - copy.fx -> fx_strobe_E1X5.fx
fx_beacon.fx -> fx_beacon - copy.fx -> fx_beacon_E1X5.fx
Congratulations, one step closer to a package as it's supposed to be.
You may be disappointed that there is only one repaint for the EMB-145LR DLC, but did you know that the paints that are included in literally any other non-Steam release of the EMB-135/145 were simply omitted and have to be installed manually by you?
Well, now you do.
Go to http://feelthere.com/download and look into the bottom right corner where it says "Embraer Regional Jets liveries". Click on the "FSX Liveries" link and download the file.
Unzip erjv2-fsx-liveries.zip to a temporary folder, then run erjv2-fsx-liveries.exe from that folder.
When the installer is runninng DO NOT SELECT YOUR FSX FOLDER AS THE INSTALLATION FOLDER!
Instead, select any folder outside of your main FSX folder.
After the installer has finished, close it and go to the folder that it installed the liveries to. In there, you will find a "SimObjects" folder, mimicking the file structure in the main FSX folder.
Open the "Airplanes" folder and note that there are two folders. Only "FeelThere ERJ145LR v2" applies to this DLC.
Rename the Aircraft.cfg in that folder to Aircraft_Temp.cfg (or anything else).
Move all "texture.xyz" folders and Aircraft_Temp.cfg (or only the folders you want) to
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\DLC\379566\SimObjects\Airplanes\FeelThere ERJ145LR v2
Open the Aircraft.cfg of the ERJ-145LR and Aircraft_Temp.cfg and then copy the content of Aircraft_Temp.cfg between the last [fltsim.x] entry in the Aircraft.cfg and the [General] section. Selecting the space right above the line containing "[General]" and pasting it there will do.
If you didn't copy all texture folders from the temporary folder to the ERJ-145LR's folder, now is the time to weed out the [fltsim.x] entries that you do not need. Make sure to delete the complete entry, i.e. all lines from "[fltsim.x]" to "visual_damage=...". The "texture=..." line indicates which "texture.[xyz]" folder is referenced by that particular entry. Remember that there are two [fltsim.x] entries for each "texture.[xyz]" folder because of the "No Yoke" model variation.
Once you're done, you will have to renumber the [fltsim.x] entries to make them perfectly sequential ([fltsim.0], [fltsim.1], [fltsim.2], etc. - no duplicates, no gaps!). The sequence always starts with "[fltsim.0]" (zero).
Assuming that you've copied over all "texture[xyz]" folders, the resulting sequence will be "[fltsim.0]" to "[fltsim.11]".
Save the aircraft.cfg and close it and then check if the installed liveries show up in FSX' aircraft selection menu.
If yes, that should be it. If not, check that the [fltsim.x] entries are numbered correctly, that the associated "texture.[xyz]" folder is present in "FeelThere ERJ135LR v2".
*Minus the weather radar and proper effects
Now go read the manual, watch some Youtube tutorials for the aircraft and go fly it.
