https://a2asimulations.com/product/accu-sim-p-40-fsx/ (Became free during the pandemic. It was same price as P-51D and Spitfire Mk. I/II.)

https://orbxdirect.com/freeware (ORBX Freeware. There used to be other developers as I recall, but now it is almost all Aeroplane Heaven.)

I've sometimes found freeware on Vendor sites like Just Flight and simMarket. Right now all I've found is a free 757: https://www.justflight.com/product/757-jetliner-freemium
- If you have P3D, several formerly payware Sim Skunk Works aircraft are now free.

There are also some really good original models there also, like the highly regarded Jan Visser/Manfred Jahn DC-3/ C-47 Skytrain:

One not mentioned above is IRIS simulations. Also, a few payware devs uploaded to Flyawaysimulation, RIkkou, and simviation. Also, consider adding the word torrent when googling for planes, you can almost and I mean almost find anything that cant otherwise be found. i.e. vaporware. Most of my freeware fighter jets came from indiafoxtecho, and iris simulations. Blackbird is very limited, as most of their badass planes are vaporware (can no longer be found), unless you use torrents. Aerosoft and IRIS have a few super high quality planes that run incredibly well that are no longer available but with torrents you can find. For airliners and general aviation, there is a bunch of really expensive payware, but the difference in quality is less of a factor with airliners and general aviation. In saying that, the payware general aviation and airliners are really really nice.
Specific torrents I recommend finding,
Aerosoft F16 (a must have, most framerate friendly, best flying plane out there)
-- either individually or part of the "aerosoft collection"
Milviz collection (T38 is my favorite, unfortunately the strike eagle for milviz is heavily piracy protected).
Iris mudhen F15 strike eagle via the Iris collection torrent.
--- When you start googling torrents including the word "aerosoft collection" or "milviz collection" will help you get far, wink wink. Download at your own risk.
- VRS superbug f18 superhornet
Easy to find payware gone freeware fighter jets:
- indiafoxtecho jets, f35, f14, etc.
- Iris simulation jets, f22, f14, A10 etc.
In fact "Dino" did work for both iris sims and india foxtecho
Anywho, not considering Russian jets, I consider the planes listed above as the highest quality, best framerate friendly, and full fidelity navigation/clickable cockpit jets. AKA must haves. Of course there are many more fighters I dont find myself interested in, i.e.pre-1970 planes.
If you are in to pre-1970 planes, a TON of freeware, and the payware is usually pretty good. If you ever have any questions, or need some help finding anything, send my a PM, I am definitely the person to ask. I have found nearly everything.
