Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

FSX has stopped working (error)
So yeah.

I had a torrent version of FSX for years now with hundred of addons, and after buying and installing the FSX Steam Edition today, I transferred my existing addons to the Steam Edition respective folders. I then started the new bought FSX game from Steam, it then 'installed' the sceneries as expected. After that, the splash screen kinda idled, and the error message came in and the game instantly crashed. At first, I thought it was because of the already existing torrent version of FSX, so then I uninstalled the torrent version and all the existing files after backing up those files and addons on an external harddrive.

AFTER that, I lauched the Steam Edition game with the addons in the folders; same error and crash. Then, I unstalled the game from Steam, and reinstalled it(yeah, literally took a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of bandwidth from my monthly limit, I'm pissed). Now, keep in mind the the addons are gone since I unstalled the game and removed all the local content before reinstalling it.

I start the freshly installed game: SAME CRASH WITH SAME ERROR.
I literally can't play a game I bought for 28$ on Steam.
What the hell is going on? Someone needs to get his ♥♥♥♥ together, and quick.

Pic related, the actual error. You'll notice that it's in french, but it's basically that.

The Steam Edition has made a few changes to the box version that you illegally downloaded, so one of your hundreds of addons is obviously not compatible with this edtion, simple as that.

As for the crashing even after re-installation, when you uninstall FSX, it leaves a few files laying around, so when you go to re-install, those files that could potentially be causing the problem are still there. You need to delete everything in SteamApps>Common>FSX, as well as Users>(whatever)>AppData>Roaming>Microsoft>FSX. After that, if you re-install, there should be no residual files left over from the previous installation that was causing trouble.
i think it making conflict with some older config files on your PC. here a clean solution.

remove the game completly from steam, look in program files on the c: and delete any folder of fsx also in my document clean everywhere where there is fsx. then make a clean steam installation
"FSX Has Stopped responding" I've had this problem for literally years now on both boxed and Steam versions, looks like it will never be fixed despite all the updates, still no change.
yup same here happend with box and just happend with steam....usually when Im going in between menu option this happens
