There are 3 difffernt type Carriers. Some are Static some are AI and move.
The carriers that move have working fresnel lens and lighted landing decks. They support catapult launch system and arrestor cable landings using the F-18 Hornet.

Times are GMT
Weekdays in FS are local time.
Example: Monday at 2:40 GMT is still Sunday local in Hawaii so select Sunday in FSX:SE.
The SDK has a TrafficTool Box .dll that can be added to the FSX:SE dropdown menu (called Tools) so you can monitor AI Planes and Large Ships (on flight/water plans) based on day and time.

You can modify any aircraft with the COP 3 panel to land on a carrier. For anyone interested, that's how I've been doing it.
I do it all the time in any of the multiplayer rooms. You can place them anywhere the nose of your plane is facing, 1 nm, or whatever. I usually pick 5nm ahead for placement. What I don't know, or doubt, is that if none of the players have AIcarriers installed and working, then the other players wouldn't see the fleet. All I know is that AIcarriers works for me in multiplayer in any room.
.. and here is more on that, specifically the files: https://library.avsim.net/search.php?CatID=root&SearchTerm=javier+nimitz
Does anyone know exactly what I need to do to get the Tools to appear in the FSX SE menu bar...??
My understanding is that involves editing the XML.dll file in Appdata/Roaming, I tried editing the "Traffic Toolbox" entry in the XML.dll and changed the line <Disabled>True</Disabled> to <Disabled>False</Disabled> but the Tools still aren't showing up in the FSX menu bar.
If anyone has any idea how to get this working I would appreciate the information.
I had to instal some version of java when I did it. There looks like quite a few issues on the discussion here: http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=t56dpj6rd435nrvt6vqkkq62u6&topic=11293.15
I have Java installed so that's not the problem, and the thread you linked is for the AI Carriers2 add on, and what i'm looking to do is use the SDK Traffic Tool Box to monitor the default FSX AI carrier movements. Thanks anyway.
I have Net Framework 4 installed, but I have not been able to get AICarriers2 to work.
