ATR 72-500 Flight1 panel problem

Hi guys, today I installed Flight1 ATR 72-500 and discovered, that again FSX have problem with displaying gauges/panel/VC. Plane works (it still can fly, etc.) but I can't see gauges http://i.imgur.com/Ujkvfk0.png what I should do?

I have this problem too. Has there been any fixes for this yet?

My Event logs show lots of these:
Activation context generation failed for "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\fsx\GAUGES\F1ATRB.DLL". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect ,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="67c7c14424d61b5b",type="win32",version="10.0.61242.0" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.

Ok this fixed it for me.

Navigate to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\gauges
and delete/backup
Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll

This now lets me fly this aircraft. Hope this helps :)

I have the solution. Apparently the FSX: SE does not have SP1, you must install the SP1 version of BOX and after installing Steam Edition. I also had this problem and resolved as well.

its the simconnect modules and possibly the msxml parser
if your panels arent showing still, try this

make sure UAC is off, and antivirus is disabled...obvious reasons
(x86)Program Files is a protected directory- I never install FSX there
better to install into a non-protected directory like C:\ or E:\



step 1, Install all the simconnects that DTG doesnt automatically install for you

keep in mind these are simconnect.msi files...just double click to install

where my FSX:SE is installed into my E:\ drive
there are actually (4) simconnects in FSX:SE

E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\lib
(install this one first)

E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces\FSX-RTM
(install this one 2nd)

E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces\FSX-SP1
(install this one 3rd)


E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces\FSX-XPACK (YOU SHOULD NOT NEED TO INSTALL THIS ONE)
DTG now includes the install for the xpack since the last update/patch

the 2nd thing to do is install the C++ redistributable



E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2005
there are 2 files here

vcredist_x86.msi (to install for 32 bit)
vcredist_x64.msi (to install for 64 bit)
just double click on the pertinant one for your system,should be 64bit

just to make sure it is installed, the XML parser should also be installed, it should have been loaded already by fsx

E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\Installers
msxml.msi
double click this file to install

My problem is that I can not see the ATR Flight one Menu in the FSX addons menu and therefore can not fly from the virtual cockpit

check your exe.xml file and make sure the ATR menu is listed with the correct path

Hey Mikeytwc, I see that It has passed a long time, but if you could help me. I got steam FSX some months ago and now I got the ATR. I had the same problem, but I followed ur steps and solved the problem for a while. Then it came back. Do ya have any idea of what's happening ? Thank you since now

WOW! WOW! THANK YOU LOADS! This does/did work for me still. I had this aircraft and was one of my favourites to fly short hops. Love the sound and everything. So i was REALLY dissappointed when i tried in FSX Steam edition and found NO panels. Looked about a bit and tried a few things and came here to FINALLY solve the problem and have the full glory of flying this lovely prop craft again. And it will be a lot! haha. Again. MANY MANY Thanx bud.
