Not for me.
Although it somtimes goes 'funny' after comming back from the menu (esc). After a few tries back and forth it usually is normal again.
(funny := no scenery, plane textures i all over the place.)

Are you using the DirectX 10 features? I've seen mentioned a few times those are (and always have been) bugged. The game was made before DX 10 was finished.

You could try changing up some of the graphics settings, maybe one of them creates your funny pictures.
And what kind of graphics card/chip do you have?

DX10 mode is extremely glitchy in this game and should remain ticked off. At the very least, I've never used it without running into problems.

If you are using a widescreen monitor you'll want to change "WideViewAspect=False" to "WideViewAspect=True" in the [Display] section of FSX.CFG or FSX-SE.CFG if you haven't done so.

It's in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX or FSX-SE.

I am running 1920 x 1080 without problems and I have DX10 preview checked. I also have the WideViewAspect turned on. I only see some very brief screen breakup after hitting esc as another poster mentioned. (The original FSX used to crash all the time for me - and turning on DX10 helped a lot. I don't know if it is needed for FSX-SE, but I have left it on.)

How do you chose to run your game with dx10 or 9?
It's in Custom Settings but it is pretty buggy.
