Really want to find a C-130
I just downloaded FSX and I really want to find a C-130 as I have a personal connection to this aircraft. Where do I look and how do I add planes?

Look on Google. Top result for FSX C130 is an addon for this game. It's from CaptainSim and it's on sale for $19.99. If you don't want to pay for one, there is a freeware called "C-130 C3 Hercules Package" on simviation. The nice thing about paid addons is that they usually have built in installers, and are much higher quality, but the freeware ones usually aren't too difficult to set up, mostly just dragging and dropping some files and folders. Instructions for installation are normally in the zip file with freeware.

If you're willing to spend a little money, for a mega deal, then CaptainSim is doing the C-130 xperience pack for 39.99EUR.

It's RRP is 89.99EUR.

You get a bunch of C-130s with a bunch of paint shemes, too. Definitely worth it.

It WAS 9.99EUR earlier, but you've literally just missed the end of the deal. :/

Can you confirm if the sound is decent for the Captain Sim C-130? I just tried out the free demo, and I have to say the sound is lacking. The engines were too high-pitched to sound realistic.

Of course, I did play the demo version so the full version is likely very different.

Captain Sim is the only valid option. No one has put the detail work into a detailed C-130 for a sim. If the sound bothers you, research how to change it.

If you get the excellent Capt Sim Herc - here's a little help to get you on your way:

I did do a start-up video in VR as well, but don't currently have it uploaded. Might do another, better one at some point as the first one was an experimental type procedure and full of little glitches. If you have VR the aircraft is fully startable from the pilot seat.

I also put that start-up checklist on the kneeboard on the same website - you can just download the files from google Drive and put them in your Hercules folders and away you go

Have fun!
