First, clear out all tweaks from your fsx-se.cfg, unless you really know what you're doing. Most of those are not needed for FSX:SE, and could actually slow thing down.
Second, disable bloom and ground object shadow. Those are the biggest performance killers. Remove internal framerate limit too if that won't cause other problems. Reduce water shader to 1.x too, if you could take the visual hit.
Third, minimize AI ground traffic. Every single one of those vehicles on the road or the apron are a separate object and destroys peformance if you are not careful. Minimize AI air traffic for the same reason.
Fourth, increase RAM to at least 6-8GB if not already there. Anything less would cause excessive swapping and slowdown.
Fifth, at least for now all flavors of FSX are still CPU-limited. Minimize background processes and make your CPU as fast as safely possible. I had a much slower GT 640M and it's still CPU bound by a 2.9GHz 3rd gen i7, but running fairly well with many addons.
Sixth, Aerosoft Airbus is one of the more demanding addons out there. Please set your expectations accordingly.
Seventh, performance is subjective. Even though FSX is almost 10 years old now, running it with high graphic settings and premium addon aircrafts and scenaries while still expecting consistent 30+ fps performance are still the territory of 5th gen Core i7 overclocked to 4+GHz and GTX 970+. While the base game did not evolve much with time, the addons certainly did, and they require powerful system to run. For most systems, 20-30fps is reasonable performance with proper tuning.
In short..no offense intended, but if everyone else seemed to be driving against traffic, then it's probably you that's on the wrong side of the road.
The game does def have bugs. I finnaly have it working on my rig. GTX 980 is a little too much horse under the hood for it and you can tell it wants a voodoo3 or something to stablize it out.
You might want to check your configurations, there are plenty of guides out there.
...Or get FS95. A voodoo3 would truly stablize that out.
