Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Controller Support
Does this game support non joystick/flight stick controllers, such as an xbox controller? Having trouble finding an answer anywhere.

It's a flight simulator so it supports any type of input device, joysticks, rudder pedals, yokes, with FSUIPC even instruments.
Since a controller like the X-Box 360 is designed for action games and not for controlling a virtual aircraft it will be suboptimal.
Due to the shorter sticks, you will lack precision.
A Controller also has no slider Axis like the one in the Throttle making engine control problematic.

Now if you want to use the X-Box 360 controller go to Settings->Controls->Control Axes and set the Axes there.

This is how to setup a stick, but it works the same for a controller:

Found something better, here:

Though I dispute the claim that it's more natural to use an X-Box 360 controller to control a plane.
It certainly is less immersive, and less comfortable than a stick and throttle on a long flight, I tried both.

in short YES
you can change the key mapping in options to what ever you want
but it has a lot of controlls but the basics will go to xbox contoller i was drunk and manged to set up basic control and fly a plane whil p#ssed as a poet on pay day
