TrackIR 5 setup?
It has been so long, I can't remember how to set up trackir with FSX. On a quick initial flight it didn't seem to work out of the box - is there stuff I need to do?

Download the Track IR software and run before FSX. You might have to adjust settings within FSX as well......cant remeber

That's the bit I need help on. :D:

TrackIR works great in my other current sims, it's just the FSX config I don't recall.

I'm not looking forward to reinstalling the volumes of add-ons I have but its worth it. Good luck with TrackIR...I have to figure it all out agin as well

TrackIR (at least in FSX:Gold) just works after you run the program. If you forget to start it before you load up your flight or if you run it before you start fsx is indifferent. Run TrackIR software and it'll work fine :)

Yes, it worked in FSX Gold for me (or rather I don't remember any issue with it).

It's not working with FSX Steam edition, for me at least - hence the question.

You are running ok using TrackIR5 and the FSX Steam edition?

The .exe is still called 'fsx' but it seems the Naturalpoint software doesn't recognise it. I wonder if TrackIR will need an update to support this?

Anyone from Dovetail can comment if TrackIR will be supported in this Steam edition or not please?

I would also like an answer to this. FSX boxed worked right away. I might have to wait on this until confirmation that Track IR works.

Holy smokes! No TrackIR! Aaargh! Well, I really hope this gets fixed ASAP, and thanks fearlessfrog for engaging NaturalPoint. Usually those guys are right on the ball.

Thats my leaf of comfort too buddy, way too many people will kick off a storm, FSX with no TIR is no FS at all :D

TrackIR is working without any tweaks on my end. Booted TrackIR, then FSX Steam. Works fine.

It is a TrackIR 5 #182125 , using the Track Clip hat. TrackIR program shows title as Flight Simulator X.
Steam is installed Under D:\Steam. So no program files folder to interfere on my end
