So on that alone it may not happen since they're not quite the same version. On the other hand you get that expansion and the convienence of steam.
I don't care about the price, I paid for it once, and paid a lot for the deluxe version, so I don't see why I should pay again, just because its on Steam.
Microsoft did the same thing with Age of Empires 3. I bought the collectors edition, then I bought the GFWL digital edition, now Steam edition, well I am not doing that again with another Microsoft game because they want to abuse existing owners who have supported them since the original release, that not how you should treat you solid player base.
JUST BUY IT!
They are not paying anything for you; they just updated the game for modern distribution channels, there is no reason why they should not help and support their existing customers the way they supported Microsoft ovder the years, even through failures like Flight.
Many other mucgh smaller, even indie, studios give out keys to existing owners before they release on Steam, so I don't get why Microsoft with all of it's resources can't do the same when small indie developers can.
At the end of it mainly Microsoft will lose out if they abandon existing owners of the retail version. Who will not be able to throw money at Microsoft for the new content they plan in the future.
It's not about the money, it's about the principle; you don't seem to comprehend that.
Let me put it this way;iIf it's so cheap and not making lot of money for MS, why not just support their existing owners?
