I do not have the QW 757, but I do have the Quality Wings Ultimate 146 Collection for FSX and P3D, which for records I used a lot under FSX boxed. Now I switched to FSX Steam and this is currently the only addon aircraft that I have not yet installed, reason being QW declared they have currently no plans to support their own products under this platform.
However, your attempt is encouraging me to give a try. I will try to reproduce your procedure adjusting it to the Ultimate 146 Collection for FSX and P3D. I searched in this forum and on the Net, but apparently nobody has tried to install the old FSX installers under FSX Steam.
I'll keep you posted as soon as I have some actionable news.
Just download the latest Quality Wings installer. Since I wrote this, Quality Wings has begun supporting FSX Steam
Thanks for getting back to me. I tried the new installer. Still every time I select the 757 from the AC menu I get a message that FSX has closed....any thoughts?
