Ground traffic and AI aircraft suddenly missing
As the title states I came back from a 12 day holiday, noticed the update was implemented and now notice that all the ground traffic (autos on roads etc.) is missing. Also, AI aircraft are all but non existant. I have the sliders in FSX maxed and did not change anything before I left. What's up?

Do you have any WoAI packages installed? I caused that problem by installing a WoAI package that had the wrong version of flight plan. I use the "Search for FS9 flight plans" option in the AI flight planner 3 software that I downloaded from Avsim or flightsim.com to remove them after I used the WoAI installer to remove all of the packages. Once I did that, I got all of my AI traffic back. I then reinstalled the WoAI packages 3 at a time until I located the one with the old flight plan.

I read somewhere that if you had one FS9 AI flight plan associated with an airport, that it would prevent all of the other AI from appearing at that airport.

Just for grins, change to an airport far away, where none of the other AI traffic should be. Try an airport in Canada, Australia, or somewhere in the UK. If you are in one of those places, try Albuquerque...

Thanks for the reply. I have not installed any add on traffic programs. So I'm still missing all my ground traffic. Every once in awhile a lone aircraft will show up somewhere. But as I said, sliders are maxed, something is wrong.

I have close to the same problem. All I get are boats and ships. No other aircraft anywhere.
Didn't FSX have moving autos? I don't see any autos. At night the highways are loaded with lights but no autos. Maybe I'm thinking X-Plane for moving automobiles.

The only addon I have is a US Terrain mesh. That certainly shouldn't affect traffic.

Similar problems here too. Have just landed at Manchester in the UK and there wasn't an aircraft in sight! I'm using the normal AI supplied with FSX, I've got my airline traffic set at 25% and general AI at 100% but it's so quiet out there. My road and sea traffic are fine but my aircraft AI are nowhere to be seen!

Now suddenly I have my air traffic back. I landed at San Francisco International using ATC and asked ground for taxi to fuel. I fueled up, saved the game and then later came back. Viola, the air traffic was there. All of a sudden there were 8 aircraft wanting to taxi for takeoff. lol I looked around and sure enough there were aircraft in the taxiways.

Have no idea why. :)
