Personally I take great delight in that mission on hitting bumps and causing the brass great pain:)
I misundestood. Spokeman said left side: I thought I had to go on the left side of the shuttle.
On the bright side, his back won't hurt him anymore.
Not related to the OP's issue, but also related to the mission, is that you need to turn the scenery complexity down or there will be fences and hedges getting in your taxi path for the start of the mission.
