Finding Fuel on the Map?
Is there a way that anybody knows of to tell which airports have fuel by looking at the map or GPS? I planned a flight to Colorado but my waypoint airport doesn't have a fuel pump and I can't figure out which airport I should fly to next to get some fuel.

Thanks

Think I figured it out. On the map some airports have a greenish/blue square with a line through it. These seem to be the airports that have fuel.

On the map the square with a line through it is a weather station. The Map does not show avalible fuel very well (uses airport symbol).

A better way is to open the GPS and in the Airport Location info page there is a fuel window that tells you if and what fuel is available. The airport symbol also tells you if fuel is available (see my post further down)

This is sooo cool! I'm flying from BWI to JFK in the A321 and I am reading the discussions between ATC instructions.

In the "Nearest airport" list in the GPS, the airports with the solid pink airport symbols have fuel. THe ones in the hollow pink symbols do not. Just an FYI, all blue airports are military.

Please review the FSX Learning Center GPS document.

Airports with solid pink mean non-controlled
Airports with hollow pink mean grass runway
Airports that are blue symbol mean controlled

Airports that have fuel will have 4 small lines at N, S, E, W positions on both the pink or blue airport circle symbols.

The GPS documents in the Learning Center gives a complete list of all symbol meanings.

oops... Yes, I do. I've had great luck using the solid ones as fuel stops, though...

http://fuelplanner.com/ The simple version, http://www.simbrief.com/home/ The advanced version but more acurate, I recommend PMDG aircraft since they are within 5% from the real aircraft, PMDG has a special contract with Boeing so their planes are flippin awesome!
