I can't find the aircraft carriers in free flight
I found this post on the topic. http://steamcommunity.com/app/314160/discussions/1/627456486795001567/

I was under the impression that if I set the day and time in GMT right a carrier would magically appear.

I like to free fly around San Diego out of North Island NAS. I thought a carrier was supposed to be there on certain days.

I turned up the shipping traffic to the max, but I still haven't been able to spot the carrier.

I was wondering if someone could tell me where to look.

The problem is that missions use their own graphics and when the mission is over the graphics do not appear in free flight mode.

I suggest you go to someplace like Flightsim.com and download an aircraft carrier for use in free flight.

Every Sunday at 11:00 AM local time (18:00Z) the very complex carrier is just East of the KSAN airport moving toward the North Island base. The carrier will be in port until Wed. then it returns to San Francisco.

This carrier is the one you can land the FA18 on since it has a working meat ball and arrestor cables.

There are 2 static carriers also in port at North Island so you should see a total of 3 carriers.

Before you download 3rd party carrier addons you should find out if there are problems with your FSX install.
