"The missed instruments"

Hello, i bought the Steam Edition yesterday, and i dont know why i cant see the instruments in panels of some planes!! is that normal? or i have some problem here?! Thanks!!

it's not normal but one or two people have posted on here reporting it - though I've not seen anything said as to what caused it or what mended it. One poster just said they restarted FSX and it was ok after that..

Is this the default aircraft? When you load an aircraft for the 1st time do you get a security warning window pop up asking if FSX can run cessna.dll or something similar?

yes, is in the default aircrafts like cessna´s!! ...and nothing appears to me, not security pop ups neither missing dll´s.. i´ve already tryed to restart the game but nothing happens.. but thanks!!

you just installed and are missing the simconnects,
in this example my install is on my E: drive
there are actually (4) simconnects in FSX:SE
E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces
3 of them are in the legacyinterfaces directory in each of the following directories
FSX-RTM
FSX-SP1
FSX-XPACK
the 4th one is located up a level in the LIB directory

this should correct your issue

I was getting a sniff there might be something else going on but I think Mikey's right

I don't think the simconnects are required as I did not suffer this problem and I did not install those files for some time.

I think this is related to the .dll permission that should pop up but apperently you are not seeing.

I noticed missing instruments in the black & white mooney, but the blue and white one had instruments. I thought the first was a bare bones version for the farm.

ok, so we're on to something... Nobody move. What's next? I guess if there's no security warning then that's why the gauges won't load but why doesn't the warning trigger?

On topic, if you look in your FSX.cfg there is a section labelled....

[Trusted]

Below that should be a list of any .dll's you have given permission to run. These will not produce another warning asking for permission. I would list mine for you to copy and paste but they appear to have a checksum type string in them and that probably means it's unlikely to work.

One of the reason you may not see some textures is because you are may be trying to run Direct X 10 Preview. Turn it off and the problem will go away.

The other scenario is the [trusted] section of your fsx.cfg file as stated above.

The problem is solved... it was the (trusted) sections and dll´s, i reinstaled the game and now the security boxes appears to me and i can load the scenarios!! the only question is why it didn´t show me the boxes in the last instalation?! ..now the game is working 100% ...Thanks to you all!!

I have the same problem with mine but I can see the right gauges in the trusted config file. My main problems are the f18 and eh101 and both gauges files are listed. Is it right there is only one for each? Please help!
