I don't know for sure but Air Hauler is a very similar type of add on to Cargo pilot - AH is newer and, in my opinion, a much better one to get. I've owned both and I can't think of any reason to get cargo pilot over air hauler, even the price is only a few euro difference I think.

I can confirm that Air Hauler works in Steam FSX - However, Air Hauler 2 is due out in "Q2 2015" (no promises) so you might want to hold on for that to come out. Because it looks like it's going to be really awesome

I already tried the cargo pilot. It says "cpt tracker wont work" or so.

yeah roger that, i went and got air hauler, and it works fine. theres a few parts of it im not overly keen on but it definitely gives me the depth i was looking for. im also glad that it allows me to import my 3rd party planes in as i only really wanted to do bush type flying in alaska in my kodiak and my pacer, so all is good

It takes a little getting used to but once you get going with it you really start getting sucked in. I fly with real weather and I've had some nail biting runs where the clock is ticking, the weather sucks, I'm in a lease plane with no insurance and if I bend it I'm in trouble... Nose on the screen looking for the little grass strip I need to land on, fuel warning light is on because I cut it fine to get those extra crates on.. yeah, you get sucked in.

Somebody mentioned on the forum here that there might be an upgrade discount to Air Hauler 2 if you own the first one but I've not looked into that.

I can see why you were looking at Cargo Pilot now but I think you'd have been disappointed with it, heh, esp as it doesn't seem to work on the Steam version. I just stick to small jobs on short routes though, I have a lot of small UK airports installed and I'm doing fine ferrying vegetables and sheep between those :)

Erm, anyway - Happy flying :TheBee:

yeah you definitely called it, im pretty much after the same sort of thing that you do, bit of bush flying delivering mundane cargo in some awful weather. i have ASN running, and the weather coming East out of sitka is atrocious, exactly what i was looking for.

im not american but i just had a desire to do some small strip stuff out in alaska, got some great scenery for it, ASN and bought a load of bush planes and such, so im good to go.

hopefully i can work my self up to a PMDG 777f out of heathrow but im not holding my breath.....

I have been simming for at least 15 years and in all that time I never got past a small prop twin (Aero Commander). I learned that flying heavy metal is not for me.

you might be right, theres just something awesome about GA propping and bush flying. ive actually hardly gone above the size of my duke v2 for quite a while now and am having the most fun in some of the lionheart creations bush planes.

gutting when youve forked out for pmdg 737 and 777, in both fsx flavour and p3d....... :(

It's a great way to explore a new scenery area I think because it'll send you to places you might not think of yourself - esp with a large area like Alaska.

I think AH 2 is going to be a release day purchase for me with the in game menu and missions etc. should just be a bit nicer to use. Last I looked on the forum the dev was saying Q2 this year but he did add that 3 months is a large window and it would be possible he might miss it so it might not show up for a few months yet.

Have you guys tried FS Economy? fseconomy.net

It's free and it's very addicting.

agreed.

at this current time, all i seem to find myself flying are the fleet classics pack and fleet ultra pack planes of his. and sometimes the realair stuff, as theyre awesome. especially the dukes.

this was what kind of kicked me off about getting into the whole air hauler type scene, as really until then i was buying all sorts of craft willy nilly. my hangar is bursting to the seams now, and its going to take an age to get my teeth into all of them.

now im into smaller GA stuff and bush flying im really finding more of a focused direction in the sim.

mind you, half the point of being a gamer is having a backlog you never clear. right?.......
