Did you install Simconnect?

If so double check the Plan-G manual and all the settings, file paths etc. again. I have Plan-G working locally and on a laptop via the local network with very little fiddling.

Are you running this on the same machine as FSX-SE? If so, download the most recent version of FSUIPC and install it (no licensed required - just cancel when asked) if you have not done that yet. Then in Plan-G go to the 'File' tab, select 'Options' in the left menu ribbon, then select 'FSConnection' and set it to FSUIPC. That worked for me. And - it will still work with the 'box' FSX if you have that installed. the solution of Dan does work indeed, use G plan for weeks now and works great with FSUIPC
on both fsx and fsx-se
