is just below yours in the forum. There's one fix in there you can try, if that doesn't work try posting in that thread because there's probably Traffic 360 users following it.
Just Flight sy they are working on it but this works, I had it working in P3D using the same method, not sure if it will work in v2.5 though....
I think so, it fires up and I can tweak it, but frankly I'm so new to this that I do't really know what I'm doing. Just relieved to see Heathrow populated with Aircraft and ground vehicles at long last.!I'll work on refining that with Traffic X as I get a bit more experience. Thanks again!
Traffic 360 stores its AI aircraft in a new simobjects folder. Simobjects\JFTraffic360\
In order for FSX to find the aircraft when displaying traffic there needs to be an entry added to fsx.cfg to tell it about this new location. The installer does this for the normal disk version of FSX but the files it needs to alter are located differently in Steam Edition.
With Steam Edition the file is FSX_SE.cfg
In the [main] section of fsx_se.cfg there are a series of entries defining the default simobject folders
[Main]
User Objects=Airplane, Helicopter
SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes
SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft
SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles
SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats
SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals
SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc
If Traffic 360 was able to add the extra entry this should appear in the [main] section and looking something like
SimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\JFTraffic360
If this entry is missing it needs to be added for the traffic to appear
To edit fsx_se.cfg Open Windows Explorer and paste the line below into the address box
%userprofile%\appdata\roaming\microsoft\fsx-se\
This will open the fsx-se appdata folder and you should see fsx_se.cfg. This can be edited with notepad
Note that this is not guaranteed to work but looking at the differences in Steam Edition this is the one thing that wouldn't get set correctlyu by the installer.
Let me know if it works
