Instrument Panel App
So, here is the deal.....
I recently purchased a Saitek ProFlight yoke system, nothing to fancy, just yoke and 3 lever quadrant. I must say, they add so much enjoyment to FSX.....now I want more!

Already found some nice rudder peddals with toe braking Im gonna order......

This just leaves instrument pannel.
I have a Toshiba Encore2 write (8inch) and it just so happenes to fit perfectly on my desk right by the throttle quadrant when my flying stuff is set up.....seems like it would be perfect spot to display the crafts most vital instruments.

Figured Id pop in here first, see if maybe anyone has heard of an app already out there to do this?? I would like to display the Altimeter, horizon bubble, and air speed at least, more if I can.
The app would need to run on Win 8....

If something like this is not out there already I must make it myself......seems like it should be possible. Many controlers with instruments get the same data I would need....

Any info, help, nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated =)

Not sure what app store your looking at, but I tried that before I made the topic. Only thing that comes up in windows app store with search of 'fsx' is 'FileView & Edit' 'FileView Pro' and 'PC Pilot magazine'. I also tried alot of other searchs...cant seem to find anything to do with FsX.

What about the altimeter and such...and for planes without digital instruments. This info is part of SDK? or do these controler manufactures get a diffrent sdk than modding community??
I kinda went into this whole thing with the mindset what Im looking for would have to be made.

Here's an android gauge app (fyi for others since you need Win8 app): https://vineripesoftware.wordpress.com/category/software/flightgauge/

Here's a add-on for gauges on a separate monitor or computer using Panel Builder. I assume your tablet falls into this category: http://simplugins.com/

You may want to contact the company to see if their add-on is compatible with FSX:SE.

In case you don't find a Win8 tablet solution, there are two other possibilities within FSX: EzDok Camera Add-on and/or Track-IR.

Google play store, i got an awesome app for 5 bucks i use on my tablet. Called flight map. so many option on terrain and it follws real time no lag. just need to install a small plug in at the website and it reads when your sim is on. also has gauges for heading, fuel, speed and it says everything on altitude guages too. Also has a GPS and distance to waypoints, VOR, jetways, airways etc. Real user friendly

Pannel builder looks awesome, and would work just like what I pictured in my head going into this....to bad it appears not to work with steam version of fsx (on account of needing a version of FSUIPC that is not compatable with steam version).

FlightMap and FlightGauge apps are perfect...if I had an android lol.....so

New question for the thread: Are there any decent android emulators out there? Tried to search for em last night and didnt see anythng I was comfortable downloading... This seems like the way to go as long as there is a viable emulator out there thats cheap.

Thanks for all the help =) Gonna have me an awesome lil cockpit setup before long one way or another!
