Anyone know how to change the call sign of a FSX default Aircraft?
Or any aircraft for that matter? Some of my payware have a livery on them and they have a simple "146" or Boeing 381" as a call sign. Thank you very much appreciated.

Even though FSX only feature fictional liveries as default, they were smart enough to integrate lots of companies in the ATC voiceover. A lot of planes work well, though some others are not in the game. There might be a way to integrate your own voiceovers but that would be a little too much work just for that. There migh be a way to put the name in text in the game without the voiceover but i don't know how.
In the aircraft list, select an aircraft and click Details. You can change the flight number and there's a list of companies to pick. It's not all in the list for some reason but you can always trade a company name that doesn't exist in the game for something else that is.

You could try two things: the first one, when you are in the Select Aircraft window, select the aircraft and then click on the "Details ..." button, then select the Airline call sign that you want for it. The call sign will be then that airline call sign you have selected and the flight number.

If your payware is an airline like Qantas, Cathay Pacific or British Airways, you can go to the Aircraft.cfg file and inside the [Fltsim.XX] where the texture of the aircraft you want is, and just add this line: atc_airline=Lufthansa or atc_airline=British , try to keep it simple. Save and close. Select your aircraft, go to Details ... again and check that the call sign is there. If your call sign is simple enough the atc will say it like american, cathay, british, air france, united, etc.

I created a list of most (if not all) airlines a while ago for FSX.
If you add the airlines.cfg at the link here[msflights.net] it will add lots of airlines for you to choose from and show the correct Trigraph to ATC.
For example British Airways 123 will show to ATC as BAW123 instead of BRI123.
