I am unable to load any ABACUS Premium aircraft into FSX (STEAM). Can any one help on this issue? Thanks.

You should contact ABACUS support

Thanks for your input. I have tried that and I get no response from them. I think I read somewhere that on their Premium or Premier titles they have some kind of installation "code" which is not compatable with the STEAM version. I have installed a few non-Premium aircraft and they work fine.
Yeah I had an Abacus aircraft 10 years ago...haven't touched one since.

Abacus is garbage. they still sell Brian Gladden's AT-802. Its been freeware since it was published, but they will charge you $10 for it.

Copy, but has anyone any ideas of how, supposing I wanted to, load one of the ABACUS' Premium titles into STORM-SE?
Try saving to desktop then move it over to the respective folders

Most of the addons I've worked with have only checked for the existence of fsx.exe in a folder named Microsoft Flight Simulator X. If they find it, they happily go about installing their contents into that folder.

This often works for the disc version and may work for FSX SE:

  • Create a folder named Microsoft Flight Simulator X in any location.
  • Copy fsx.exe from the Steam version into that directory.
  • Install the addon and point its installer to that location.

When installation is finished, if it worked, you'll have only the folders and files created by the installer. You can then copy those parts into your working FSX SE folder.

If your addon is dependent upon the existence of other products in the Flight Simulator folders, it may not install all necessary components using this method.
