A321 too high fuel consumption
Hello, I run out of gas, when flying from Hurghada to Prague. There was consumption 16xx lbs/h on my display, but real consumption was about 10 times higher. Is there something, I could do wrong, or it is bug in this game?

Sorry for my english

I've noticed this too. Actually, its a problem with the non steam edition version as well.

As far as fixing it, I cannot help you with that.

Find your aircraft.cfg file (simobjects, airplanes) and open it in a notepad and look for the following section: [TurbineEngineData]. Underneath that section, add or modify the following entry: ThrustSpecificFuelConsumption = 0.6 (typical default)

Edit the entry to ThrustSpecificFuelConsumption = 0.4 for better fuel consumption. Setting it to zero would mean that the aircraft would burn no fuel, similar to the, "unlimited fuel" setting.

For finding a good balance for realism with fuel, here's a good write up: http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?245877-FSX-fuel-problems.

There are several things about an aircraft that can be modified. https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526949.aspx#mozTocId183639%29

If you purchase a payware aircraft, you'll find that many of the settings in the aircraft.cfg, and the .air file have been slightly modified - in an effort to improve realism.

However, a lot of these optimized values can be found in forums, by simply perusing the internet.
