Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Simconnect installation
Everytime I start FSX it asks me to install Simconnect again and again. Is it normal? Or i'm having some kind of problem?

Try here

there's a few installers of different versions of Simconnect tucked away and you have to run all of them for some add ons. It'll be in that seach somewhere, it comes up a lot :spazwinky:

Yes, i know that. I tried to install the ones tucked in the SDK file, but all of them just gave me the same error msg:

"Error at installing assembly "Microsoft Flight Simulator Simconnect, version"10.0.60906.0", typ'="win32", processorArchiteture="x86", publicKeyToken="67c7c14424d61b5b"

Do you know of any other place I can find Simconnect installers?

I have a 10.0.61259 here but I'm going nuts trying to remember where I got it from, it's in the same folder as Accu-feel so I suspect I got it from the A2A forum. I searched though and can't find a link for it now :(

there are a total of (4) simconnect.msi files in the steam edition, and you should run all of them, as well as the C++ redistro(2010 vr i believe)
where i installed mine to E:\
E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces
there are 3 in here, in each of the following folders
FSX-RTM
FSX-SP1
FSX-XPACK
the final simconnect is here
E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LIB

for some reason the c++ redistro was in E:\ (the root directory)

Yes mikeytwc. The problem is that the installation doesnt finish. I always get an error message in all 4 files.
