Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Help me
Hi guys, I started playing fsx a little while ago without using any addons and I realized that the game is kind of boring, could you tell me which ones I should download? (I'm Brazilian so take into account that I can't buy anything in dollars, so please tell me about free stuff), thanks :)

Head over to fly away simulation do a search for free global mesh.
Other sites like flightsim.com have plenty of freeware addons scenery and aircraft

Start bottom up, with the topology (elevations) first, get FreeMeshX. Then peruse the popular forums and lay photoreal scenery on top of that (a bunch which come with some airport AFCADs).

Then peruse the sites for more Airports, Scenery and Aircraft, Gauges, etc. and free fixes to like the rain issue etc, get Steves DX10 freeware fix and run in DX10 mode. The payware version is no longer available but the freeware still fixes a lot, just not old models that only had their textures upgraded to fsx, they only work properly in DX9 mode).

avsim.com
flightsim.com
simvation.com
rookoo.com

for a few sites

Unfortunately Steve's product is no longer available, but I the shaders are available. There is this though, not sure if the step by step guide can be manually done in the same way the payware product would have done.

Is there any way to speed up the download of mesh, I put it to install and it still has 2 days to go

FreemeshX Global is quite large, unpacked its over 560GB, I downloaded through their bittorrent links on their website maybe a decade ago. I don't even find their website anymore. But FlyAwaySimulations seems to have it as a 45GB compressed download. It doesn't include USA because USA was already LOD 10, there is now a USA LOD 12 available as a separate download and its 51GB itself.

If your downloading it from FlyAwaySimulations for free they probably have an imposed limit on speed of the upload/download. Assuming your system/connection is not slow that would be the limiting factor. The "estimate" seems long, but remember its an estimate. If it's early in the download the estimate is probably exaggerated say by 25 to 50%

Look at the download speed, if it's like 33mbits a second (what microsoft FS2020 limits it's updates download speed to). It will be a long time for 45GB.
