I'd played around with Simbrief for FSX and P3D before, but with mostly frustrated results. I believe my go-to solution was to create the flight plan in Little Nav Map and then save the flight plan to the file extension used by my aircraft's GPS/navigation system. I think I may have used Simbrief after Little Nav Map to do the conversion? Then, I think you have to load the flight plan from within FSX.
Honestly, it's a lot easier to just let FSX find a route for you in the free flight menu. You can select between VFR and IFR options. Click the small "Flight Planner" button below your aircraft preview to open the planner.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FSX saves/loads flight plans (by default) to/from the "My Documents\Microsoft Flight Simulator X" folder. So if you save your exported Simbrief plans there you can see and load them like any other into FSX's GPS.
On the FMC, I have installed the free Honeywell FMC into the 737-800 and the 747-400 and I think a couple of others. I inserted it into Shift-5 pop-up gauge position. Instructions come with the FMC.
I also got the FMC to show up on the VC panel but I'm not sure how, I think I did it long ago, it's a bit complex and I forget how. BUT I believe I ended up replacing that because FMC comes with the free Upgraded Cockpits for the 737 & 747 by Alejandro Rojas Lucena they are well worth the free.
Or mine is a combo of both the upgraded cockpits and the FMC, it was so long ago that I did those upgrades I don't remember.
Cheers
As I said, "instructions come with the FMC". But here you go below is, the entire text of readme.txt from the download FMC-1.zip, which also contains a HoneywellFMC.pdf on operating it.
As far as downloading planes that already have it you'll have to read the descriptions. Or do some creative searches, as the author Garret says: Search is your friend. I can tell you that I think Rikooo has a mega package of both the 737-800 and the 747-400, I believe with the same upgraded cockpits and FMC, not sure and lots of liveries.
Cheers!

Please do not contact me with questions on how to install guages.
There are several programs that do this, and alot of info on how to do it
manually. Search is your friend.
Please read the manual before emailing with questions on how to operate the FMC.
Its a very simple FMC, and experimentation will teach you alot. =)
If its a button, it was meant to be pushed.
Enjoy!!
